Dr. Kenneth Kobliner is a periodontist, a dentist who specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infections and diseases which affect the supporting structures of the teeth (the gums and bone). Periodontal treatment includes non-surgical (deep cleaning) and surgical therapy, the placement of dental implants, periodontal maintenance therapy, dental prophylaxis and oral hygiene instruction.

Dr. Kobliner received his Post Doctoral Specialty Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1985. It was there that he was trained by some of the world's leading clinicians and researchers in the disciplines of periodontal surgery, bone regeneration, periodontal-prosthesis and the "newly emerging" field of implant dentistry.

Dr. Kobliner graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1981, where he received his D.M.D. (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree.

After graduating with honors in the top 10 percent of his class, Dr. Kobliner did a one year General Practice Residency Program at Booth Memorial Medical Center (now New York Hospital - Queens). The residency included training in anesthesiology, oral pathology and emergency medicine as well as extensive clinical experience in the practice of general dentistry.

Dr. Kobliner graduated Magna Cum Laude from Queens College in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and, upon graduation, was the recipient of a New York State Regents Scholarship for Dentistry. While at Queens College, Dr. Kobliner served as a Research Assistant in the Department of Cell Ecology at the Sloan Kettering Institute for Cancer Research, and volunteered at the Queens General Hospital Dental Clinic.

When he's not practicing periodontics and taking continuing dental education courses, Dr. Kobliner enjoys reading (primarily non-fiction and history), being active in his community and spending time with his wife and three children.
